Maangat respects your privacy and complies with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and the National Privacy Commission's rules. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have.
What we collect
Account details (email), orders and shipping addresses, reviews you write, payment references (we never store card numbers — payments are processed by our provider), and basic usage data. Artisan onboarding additionally collects KYC information, which is encrypted at rest.
How we use it
To operate the marketplace: process orders, enable fulfillment and payouts, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with tax (BIR) obligations, and — only with your consent — send marketing or measure analytics.
Your rights
You may access, export, or request deletion of your personal data, and grant or withdraw consent at any time from your Account page. Withdrawing consent does not affect lawful processing already carried out.
Data retention
When you delete your account we anonymize your personal data, but order, payment, and tax records are retained as required by Philippine law (e.g. BIR record-keeping). Deletion requests from artisans are reviewed manually due to payout and tax obligations.
